Love this place! I used to come here almost 20 years ago as a youngster. I stopped back by for old times sake and I must say does not disappoint. If your looking for frills, search elsewhere. But if your looking for delicious homestyle BBQ at a square price point search no more! Highlight: fried cod and BBQ chicken.
The food was very good, though a bit on the pricey side. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. The jumbo shrimp was huge and sooo delicious. Also, the Mac & Cheese is a must try, even if it is an upcharge.
Our family has been eating at this restaurant for more than 30 years. It has changed slightly over the years, but always very good food. The ribs, chicken, and shrimp are delicious and the best items on the menu, along with the cole slaw and french onion soup. If you're lucky enough to get Mendo as your waiter, you will have great service too. Getting a bit pricey though!
