Visiting family and instead of waiting 2.5 hours for a mediocre meal we opted for this wonderful spot. I had the fried chicken sandwich on the most tender and flavorful biscuit ever! Also Brussels sprouts— perfectly charred —Others had burgers. Kudos all around to the staff. Love the vibe here. Outside patio is a sweet spot after sundown. Oh! And and next time can I have the kid’s PBJs? Next level! Sorry: no food pics — we gobbled it up too fast.
Super friendly staff and excellent fried chicken! We also tried the grilled cheese with tomato jam, I wasn't a huge fan of the tomato jam...wasn't what I was expecting, but it's always fun to try new things. Welcome Diner is one of the best breakfasts in town. We are from San Diego, and this restaurant reminds us so much of our little neighborhood in South Park. Trendy, welcoming, small menu with a big taste. We always bring our out-of-town guests here, and it’s a great intro to the Phoenix food scene. There’s a private parking lot and always plenty of street parking. Walk-up to order window with plenty of Indoor and Outdoor seating. Thank you, Welcome Diner Team, for always being awesome!
