Wako Taco

We had a Taco Salad and a Burrito. The ingredients are fresh, they are prepared in front of you, and the portions are decent. This makes for a very tasty experience. Make sure you get some of their sweet sauce too. As a bonus, Wako Taco adjoins the Hourglass Brewery, so your order is brought to your table while you are sipping some suds. Sweet!

I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered two tacos for myself and chimichangas for the family. Nothing here was fresh at all, everything was cold, including my chicken taco and my friend's. My kids picked at their food and within an hour, were complaining of stomach aches. The chicken was obviously cheap frozen chicken that they had only partly heated up. A few bites and you could tell, part of it was still cold and some parts were warm-ish. Nothing was fresh: it seemed like they got the guacamole from a premade can, it was so disgusting. Horrible experience, will never return. We let the guy behind the counter know my friend's chicken taco was stone cold and he started to argue with her. I honestly think they should refund us. Can't see how they are going to stay open with food quality this poor.

How the heck have I not rated this place?! I have been coming here since a coworker showed it to me when I moved to Altamonte 5 years ago. Dear sweet Lord this place has the best burritos in town. I’m a secret burrito connoisseur. The best burrito I’ve ever had was at a food truck in Los Angeles. When I came back I searched and searched and Wako Taco is 100% by far the best burrito contender I have found. The staff is so nice. They know me by my order now. Always the carne asada with extra pico. Always extra pico. And that’s what I recommend. It also travels well in DoorDash. Not to mention it’s right next to the best brewery in town, Hourglass! You can grab food then go hang out next door in that kickas$ establishment. In fact they’re connected! Just go. Just go there. And get the Wako Taco too!
