Waffle House

Advertise open 24 hours. Went by last night just after midnight, doors were locked, an employee walking through the restaurant ignored the fact that I was wanting to come inside, kept walking away from the locked door and would not make eye contact. Because of their actions, I assumed they were closed, got in my car to leave and there were several other employees standing outside the back of the restaurant. No one bothered to acknowledge me, so once again, I assumed the store was closed. No way to run a business, I am sure the owners of this location are not aware of this!

I have not eaten at Waffle House since before Covid started. Some locations have great servers, some do not. My server today completely forgot about me. I had to go the counter and inquire about my food. Other servers had to go find her in the back of the restaurant to check on my order. Then she comes up and hands me my order and states we are out of silverware. Wow, poor customer service at it’s finest. I will probably stay for a couple of more years again to see if the service improves.

This place is a family favorite. This location in particular has good cooks and it’s very clean. Everyone is friendly. Sometimes at food places you get servers that really don’t want to be there and it shows. But here people really care and help each other. Usually when I go in staff is in a good mood with the music playing and the atmosphere is uplifting. I wish all places could be like this. The prices are good and you can get a decent amount of food cheaply. I usually get one of the breakfast platters or Texas toast. The best part is that you can add lots of extras to your eggs and hashbrowns. The chocolate chip waffle is great too!
