Vero Chicago Pizza

Had potential. Our wing order was messed up and when it came back was under cooked. The inferno wings were pretty good. The thin crust pizza was ok but the thicker deep dished looked amazing. My wife and I agreed we would come back and try the deep dish. Then the check came. The server mixed up our check with a different table and they had paid and left. I received the other tables check "adjusted" to what ours should have been. I never saw my actual bill so there's that. Cool place staff was friendly the bar stays open later than the kitchen for the later crowd. Will update review if/when we try the deep dish.

This was the first time trying Vero's (formally Buddyz). We visited Buddyz several times at other locations. The dough is different than before. I have to say the pizzas are not as good as they once were. Buddyz was hands down the best Chicago style deep dish I have ever had. I can no longer say that statement holds true. The pizza is still good but no longer the best I've ever had. I was also alittle disappointed my pizzas were made wrong. I ordered a 2 topping deep dish half and half. All the toppings were on one side and the other was only cheese. This new location is a lot nicer as far as setup and decor. They even have a nice little patio setup for outside dining. For the customer who likes to have a drink and dine at the bar, they have a great setup filled with tvs to catch your favorite sporting event. Sooooo lemme start by sayin we love Buddy’s/Vero…been visiting QC location for yrs and just moved to ironwood crossing…. Noooo way it’s now just across street… pizza spot on delicious…. But salad fell a little short…we’ve always ordered the Chopped Salad…comes with bacon and chicken…. Zero exists on this salad…. Slightly over cooked tortilla chips…. Even website menu says chicken…. Very heavily minced….nothin much besides old lettuce… Cmon….we’ll give it another go…. But we love our fresh lively salad….
