Walked in with my mother feeling like eating hearty yet healthy for lunch. We split the ginger tofu noodle salad, teriyaki banh mi, spicy lemon awake rice and large tofu spring rolls. *chef kiss* delicious! Couldn’t eat it all lmao so we took half of it home for dinner. Highly recommend! — Back again. I’m addicted to Vietnamese noodle salads. Ugh! I’m going to figure out how to make this from home. It explodes in my mouth, and the way the mint and basil bring out the ginger tofu makes me want to scream. Guiltless deliciousness. Vegan food made so simply like this is great for a cold eater like me. #gratitude
My friend said she came here for a date and said it was good so I decided to give it a try. We got S1 (House Special Pho) and B3 (Lemongrass Tofu Banmi). I've never been to a vegan restaurant so it was my first time trying vegan food, and both tasted better than I thought. The broth for pho tasted clean, unlike phos at other places that has some sort of a greasy taste, and I honestly liked it better than the pho place in the same center street. They put tofu and fake meat and fake fish balls for ingredients and I liked the tofu the best. Banmi had a peanut butter sauce on top and also some tofu with lettuce and some apple. The dip for the chips was something I'd never tasted before but it was good. I'm not a vegan, but the overall taste was very good. I will definitely come back and try other menus too. Utensils and sauces are self-serve.
I have been here many times and love it! The banh mis are quite good- love the SUN sauce and the apple and jalapeno that come on that one (you can get w/o jalapenos if desired). The pho are also good. All the soups are huge! Great toppings and sauce options. The plates are usually good although the quality does seem to vary between visits sometimes. Never been bad, just a question of good vs. truly excellent on the meat in the Lemon Awakening. They're pretty good at meat substitutes although you can also get tofu if that's more your style. Vegetarian options: It's all vegan with a wide variety of dishes!
