Van Chans Chinese Restaurant

Came in to what I think may have been their dinner rush. They were still pretty quick to get our food out. My favorite dish was the shrimp fried rice. It was hot and tasted fresh and had some great umami flavors. The hot n sour soup was a little on the thicker side and was a little cold when it came out. It was very hot nor sour. The orange chicken was good in the sauce however some of the chicken was a little on the drier side. The charbroiled chicken was also a little dry. Overall I enjoyed the foods flavor. Would like to try it out when they are less busy.

I second another persons review here. I had sesame chicken and it was dry like jerky. It was either way over fried or reheated one too many times. Literally, as tough and had the consistency of dried jerky and sometimes tiny pieces of it. The portions were big and the flavor of the sauce was good, but I could not overcome or continue eating that overused chicken. The fried rice was meh. It didn’t have any veggies in it. If they can overcome the meat part of quality, I can see the potential of this place being delicious. I also had the egg drop soup. That was good.

Amazing Food! Some of the best I’ve ever had, and I toured Eastern Asia, so that’s saying something!!!
