A very homely casual snack/lunch place in downtown Mountain View. I read somewhere the owner cooks a lot of the dishes. Everything is fresh and vegetarian. Liked the Kutchi Dabeli, which is spicy mashed potatoes in a bun and sprinkled with sev and the Bombay Frankie which was also spicy mashed potatoes with onions wrapped in a parantha. The vada pav was okay, though I wish they gave Atleast two in one plate. The sabudana vada was the star of the show - deep fried tapioca and potato fritters served with spicy yogurt. Strongly recommend. The kokum sherbet was ok, while the aam panna was more tasty. Service was friendly and quick.

Really some of the best Maharashtran food that I have had in the Bay Area. We ordered vada pav, misal pav, sabudhaana vada, kachi dabeli, pav bhaaji with amul cheese and gulpoli. The pav bhaji with amul cheese was simply delicious. It was rich spicy and well seasoned. The sabudhaana vada was the star of the show in my opinion. It was crispy outside and soft inside, well cooked and very well seasoned. The yoghurt dip along with it was delicious with a mix of tanginess from the yoghurt combined with a slight hint of sweetness. The misal pav and vada pav were mildly spiced and tasty. The dabeli filling was delicious and the chutney spread on the pav was really delicious. The addition of pomegranate seeds was a really nice touch. The service was slightly off. It took almost 15 minutes to get a glass of water. But overall it was a delicious experience.
