Casa Lupe - Though I live in San Jose, and, more in the south eastern part, I hopped on a bus to downtown, and, took the lightrail to Mt View. Probably an hours trip altogether, but well worth the motive of attending one of my two favorite Mexican restaurants - the 'Casa Lupe.' It's one of a chain, sprinkled elsewhere in the Peninsula. My introduction to this beautiful laid-out restaurant, was in Los Altos, going as far back as the '70s.' My only other favorite (Mexican restaurant), that takes a close second, is called, 'Station 55,' located just around the corner of 5th, and, Monterey Rd., in the old town of Gilroy. Getting off the lightrail in Mt View., I had to walk many blocks to get there (Casa Lupe), but, time passed quite quickly, as the entire street of Castro, is dedicated to pretty much nothing but restaurants, and, bars, and, a whole lot of lights galore, you'd almost think it was Christmas. Great spot to host a large gathering for lunch. We had 8 people outside which they were easily able to accommodate in advance on a Friday for lunch. For the main dish I ordered the shrimp enchiladas which were good but nothing exceptional. Didn't really have the flavor punch I was expecting. Some of my co-workers ordered the fajitas which were served on a sizzling plate with an absolutely amazing smell. Much larger portions as well which is what I recommend if you're coming here. The desserts here are top notch and every one of them is delicious and you can't go wrong with any of them. Parking: Parking lot in the back of the restaurant.

Food was awesome , love the ambiance, we ordered Nachos and Quesadillas both were awesome, those were under appetizers but the portion size was a lot , that was more than sufficient for the 2 of us Will definitely recommend and go here again
