Urban Crab Shack

The establishment seemed like a great place to go for my wife’s seafood cravings but, boy was we wrong ???? place was pretty empty the greeter was friendly but , the waiter seemed out of place like he didn’t know what he was doing I ordered seafood gumbo and let me tell you it was not that it was brown gravy pooled around rice with a couple of shrimp some okra and bits of scallop and somebody in the back decided to throw old bay in it and say presto gumbo my wife got an seafood boil with noodles the noodles was the main attraction the shrimp weren’t Devined still had feces the muscles where over cooked crawfish where poor and there was little to no sauce wouldn’t go back .

I absolutely love the food here! My favorite are the flounder basket and hush puppies. The seasoning of seafood steam bags is perfect. "Fire" spice level is not too spicy and incorporates the perfect amount of garlic. To note, the flounder basket on my second visit wasn't as crispy as my first visit. Hoping they were just having an off day. When visiting, bring your patience and understanding. They seem to be short-staffed most days. Both times I went were on a weekday late afternoon/early evening.

This was almost 5stars but the misleading happy hour marketing needed updating (the business website and flyers/posters posted still up in restaurant) AND it could use more flavor. Was not giving urban in the taste department. But still everything was good. Good customer service, fried food taste good and drinks was delicious. I really do appreciate having this nice establishment with the events and atmosphere. Vibes
