Charm City Buffet & Grill

This buffet has everything! There is a very large selection of food to choose from at this buffet. There is also a sushi station and a habachi grill area where you choose your ingredients and your food is prepared in front of you. There is not only a large quantity of food to choose from but the food taste great as well. Finally, this buffet is very clean, which can't be said about a lot of buffets. The floors and tables are clean, food spills at the buffet are quickly cleaned and the silverware and glasses were also clean. The servers were also friendly and good about making sure you had refills on your drinks. If you are looking for a clean buffet with a plethora of menu items to choose from, Charm City Buffet is your spot!

We decided to pop in for dinner. I did not expect much, since this place was going down hill prior to COVID. So the only thing that changed was the decor, mostly Second hand of materials were used to cover the old tables, but it was nice open and bright feel. The servers appear to be the same ones, but I could be wrong, or there were a mix of new and old servers. When it comes to the buffet I do have a few items I like to pick... I always get the sautéed string beans with some sushi (but apparently other guests needed a whole plate of sushi) and I do not like day old sushi. Sometimes I would get items from the hibachi to be prepared, but not this time. I did try the green beans, spinach, fried shrimp, pork rib, and some barbecued duck. The duck was dry and fatty, a no for me. The grean beans were a little under seasoned and not like the original recipe. I was not too disappointed with the veggies, accept for the meat items. Some were already cold upon picking up or were either day old

I liked it. It was pretty much like it was under the previous owner but I did find the cooked sushi selection to be a little bit more limited than it used to be. I don't remember the previous establishment having a seafood casserole on the half shell so this was definitely an improvement and definitely tasty. For those who liked the three different types of shrimp entrees (spicy in a red sauce, peeled in a light broth and the breaded coconut) you will be heartened to know that they are still just as tasty as before. I can't speak for the bathrooms but the rest of the places is very clean and the staff very willing to keep your old plates quickly removed and your drinks topped off. Other than the reduced options on the sushi, the other thing that bothered me and kept me from five stars was the lack of blinds on the windows to keep the blinding Evening Sun from ruining the meal.
