Underground Pizza Towson

Tried this place on a whim after noticing it in passing one day. Got the UPC cheese for carry out and was pleasantly surprised! Staff was very friendly when I arrived and the pick up time was faster than anticipated. Delicious crust and very nice sauce. Nice medium between New York style and Chicago style as it wasn’t too doughy but was still nice and fluffy and had crispy, caramelized edges. This is really the only place I can think of that actually has Detroit-style pizza in the area (unless you want little Caesars…). Will definitely go again and give one of their specialty pies a try as the menu is pretty extensive and has plenty of unique options.

A very cool and intimate spot. I could see it being a late at night first date spot. The UPC sampler was pretty good minus the risotto balls, kind of bland to me but the mozerella sticks made up for it. Also the Pepperoni in the mac and cheese can be a little overwhelming. Dipping sauces were good. My pizza was the star of the show! The Cluckaneer is amazing. The chicken combo with the Buffalo and blue cheese dressing go together so well. Detroit style pizza still catches me off guard with the excess amount of bread, but the toppings carried over. 10/10 recommend. Ordered: UPC Sampler, The Cluckaneer

Underwhelming. Pizza got about as thin as a Domino’s/Papa Johns in the middle and the overall taste was comparable to a good Pizza Hut pan pizza. For $12-$15 I would be happy, but this isn’t a cheap pizza. It was $22 plus tax for a plain cheese. Detroit style is the latest pizza fad and it’s nice to have this option around but there is much better pizza in the area available for less money. Update after owner response. Tell ya what I’ll give you guys another shot. Everyone has an off night.
