Uncle Sam's Cafeteria

They give you a lot of food (I couldn’t eat it all). This was our first time eating food from here. I was in the area and needed to get something for dinner. I got the Catfish (it was seasoned, but I couldn’t figure out what the season was), the Cabbage (I added salt and pepper to), the Mac & Cheese (I added salt and pepper, and it could have used some more cheese). The cornbread was ok. The prices are reasonable; for 2 plates (the meals come with a drink) I paid $20 with tax. They have a variety of food, so everyone in your party shouldn’t have a problem picking something to eat.

Worked at Encompass for a while and this would literally be the whole crews favorite place. Best soul food and overall great environment miss the scenery and the crew. There cat fish is honestly the best in my opinion and there fried chicken and macaroni. Plus they greet you with southern hospitality but we always joked around lol. I went there today to freshen up with the crew and eat pork chops.

Not the same as years ago. Bought out by someone who does not know how to cook. Probably just keeping it for the real-estate value. Food looked horrible , and tasted even worse. This little property would do better as a corner grocery.
