Bears is a nice place. Sometimes it has music or karaoke and is generally a fun time. The food has seen a constantly decline in the past 10 years or so. It used to be amazing, like top tier. It’s not bad now but it’s not at the level it used to be. Our service is usually good and sometimes you get a server that is really amazing. Over great vibe. Dogs adorn the walls and that alone makes it worth the price of administration. Love this place.
Uncle Bears was a nice place in a nice area, but I feel that most people, when looking for a gastropub style eatery, are expecting the food to be better than a dine-in burger chain. It was the opposite for me. I ordered a green chili burger with an egg fully cooked and it wasn't great. It was okay. Certainly better than fast food. The bun was super soggy and the smashed burger was hanging outside of the bun that was overwhelmed by the diameter of the patty. So much was falling apart that I felt I was eating a protein style salad with my hands. The sweet potato fries were also okay. It's not bad, but it's not great. I'm hoping my experience with their food isn't indicative of their overall menu and YMMV.
Burgers and sides are tasty. Our server was very attentive. If you are a dog person, this is the place for you as they allow them in the patio and the interior is covered with dog pics.
