Reno has some great sushi places. Umi Shushi is not one of them. The sushi itself is OK, but the rolls are very small. About the diameter of a quarter. Some ingredients listed are not present when you receive your order. For example, the San Francisco roll says it has Siracha sauce. Ours came without. The staff was nice, but we had to constantly ask about items we ordered. I know this sounds like I'm being an A-hole, but when you are halfway done with your meal and your child still has not received a simple bowl of rice...????????‍♂️, at a sushi place no less. On top of it all, we then waited over 15 minutes for ice cream. The place wasn't even busy. Kid-friendliness: Bring snacks and something to keep your kids occupied...Trust me.

Wonderful variety of sushi presentations, all well prepared and delicious! The food prep guys do an exceptional job on all menu items. We wish they spoke and understood English better, but they are friendly and try very hard to please. We will go back! … More
