I had dinner here on a bachelorette trip. We called ahead to make reservations, and we were told seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. If you are coming from far away, be sure to call ahead to make sure you know if there may be a wait. That isn’t the restaurant’s fault if you had to wait and knew you didn’t have a reservation (because they don’t do reservations). The food was so lovely and my only complaint is that I didn’t get to eat absolutely everything on the menu. The vibe is more casual and you could be dressed up or in a cozy sweater and jeans and neither levels of dressy/casual seem out of place. The drinks and wine selection are superb. The dinners come out in these huge casserole or cast iron dishes and all of it was so delicious. Our waiter was Niko (Nico?) and he was fabulous. The outdoor area is gorgeous and the views are stunning. I’d definitely recommend this place.
We really love this place! Pizza is great and since there is not another decent pizza place within an hour of north Georgia this is our go-to! We used to live in Atlanta and frequent Antico so our standards are very high when it comes to pizza. That being said we may have had a different pizza cook one evening because the pizzas were not *quite* as good as our first time but definitely won’t stop us coming back, hope it was a fluke. Skip the Montaluce wine and order a beer…sorry, it’s just bad. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating even on weekends has been our experience! Definitely recommend for pizza!
My party had a great experience at the upper section of the winery in the wine tasting room but we were disappointed in our dining experience at Trattoria. Both loaves of bread were burned black on the tops and no bread knife was provided to finish slicing the half sliced bread. When we asked for one the waiter was annoyed. To continue the burnt trend see the photo of my pizza below. The 4 cheese pizza and the create your own pizza (we added pepperoni and meatball) were both flavorful and would have been good if not burnt black. To our surprise, the dessert pizza was the worst part of our meal. The dough was hardly cooked so it was limp and almost wet? The strawberries were thrown on top of the pizza right before it came to our table (not baked into the dessert pizza) so when we tried to eat it as a pizza slice it just slid off the side. It was drizzled so lightly with Nutella you couldn’t even tell they added it to the dish. My blueberry mojito was good, as were the cannoli's. Trattor
