The place doesn't dissapoint if you eat meat. I live around the corner and am here about once a month. The redfish benny is a dream of a dish. Very, very creative and delicious, sometimes a lil salty and heavy but thats cajun cuisine.
Honestly, it was pretty expensive for over cooked food. The burger was fantastic but sadly the chips were burnt. The wagyu steak had large pieces of fat that was not rendered and it was cooked to a different temperature through the whole steak. The cracklins were cooked so long that you could barely bite them, they were so hard. Our waitress left our drinks empty the majority of the meal and our table was shoved into a back corner so close to the other tables that our chairs were touching. I had been looking forward to this meal all weekend and it was a major let down.
Awesome going to a place where it was opened by someone that got 2nd in Top Chef. Food was delicious and would definitely come again when I head back down south. Great atmosphere and felt homey. Red Fish sandwich was off the hook
