Food was good but I would not recommend on a hot day. It was 90 degrees outside and we waited about 40min for a table. We were extremely happy when we were called but the heat and gym like smell inside hit us like a wave the moment we walked in! They had no AC and it smelled like a mens locker room inside. The inside is very small so all the tables were crowded together. It was so loud I could barely hear what my friend was saying. If you are looking for a good date spot, look elsewhere. Again, the food was really good, but not enough to make up for the lack of AC in the middle of a heat wave.
Happened to walk SJSU campus on the 4th, and chanced upon this Mexican restaurant. Inside is compact, full of groups of people and quite the lively music filled the air. Trying to grab a quick bite we just ordered Mexican Omelette with rice & tortillas, Jamaica Black Berry Juice and Birria Tacos. Food was about a 20 minute wait but their wide selection of cocktails or drink menu seem popular with the guests. Drinks come out pretty quick. Overall happy with our find. Nice place to chill if you’re in the area. Long lines out the door, get ready to wait a bit to be seated.
From their beautifully crafted drink selection to their extensive food menu, Tostadas has some of the best Mexican in San Jose. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food came out quick! Not to mention the lively, upbeat atmosphere. You simply cannot go wrong with Tostadas’s cocktails, which arrive ornamented with flower pedals and tajin-dusted rims. The chicken tacos were deliciously seasoned, and the pizzadilla is a local favorite. I highly recommend Toastadas!
