Sunny Island BBQ

My nephew, Devon, was craving Hawaiian BBQ so I had to hook the Boy up. I got couple of different plates from Sunny Island BBQ @SunnyIslandBBQ for us to absorb and ravaged for dinner. All the plates come two scoops of rice and macaroni salad. We got the Kalbi, beef bone and grilled chicken. The portions were generous and enormous. The kalbi was scrumptious with the chilli oil from the sauce bar. Devon had an easy time munching on every thing. I definitely recommend this spot. @SunnyIslandBBQ ???? I was pretty hungry and couldn't leave the house. I thought I'll order Hawaiian. I've never had bad Hawaiian plate lunch so anywhere should be fine. I ordered delivery. I got lots of food (pork and kalbi combo) so I was excited but I noticed the kalbi was pretty charred. For BBQ, it's normal to have bits and pieces of extra caramelization but these pieces were burnt. The meat was on the dried side. I got tons of bones of the kalbi and barely any meat. The pork was not burnt (yay) but the cuts were super fatty pieces. I ordered delivery and I was starving so I didn't bother to complain to the restaurant or the delivery service but this place needs some quality control. Although I've seen some other pictures of other people's food, there's a bit of burnt pieces too. I guess people just don't mind eating burnt crispies.

Amazing food, great service, every time I go it’s so tasty and I feel like I’m paying for a great experience of Hawaiian BBQ. It don’t matter what the occasion is, you have to try this gem hidden in San Jose ASAP.
