Toppers Pizza

Scheduled a delivery for lunchtime. Pizza was good, seemed pricey for what we got but delivery isn’t free anymore (nor should it be). Pizza came 15 minutes faster than we scheduled it to, which worked out today but could cause complications in some situations.

Placed an online order. It stated our food would be ready in 25 minutes. We get there and they said they never received a order... My husband double checked the order/address. Everything was correct. While waiting outside I seen seven or eight customers go in get their pizza and come out. I asked them if they called or placed an order online? More than half of them said that they placed an order online. The thing that bothers me the most is while our food should be cooking the employee and manager were outside having a cigarette. This is the second toppers to have issues....

Is it just me, or has the fast food industry been on a downward spiral since 2020? It seems like every food chain is experiencing staff shortages and they're just hiring anyone who's willing to work, while allowing for their product quality to take a dive in the process. The pizza I ordered was lukewarm and dry and they were VERY stingy with the pizza sauce and toppings. I've ordered from Toppers a handful of times and it seems as though their pizza is becoming less and less flavorful. Not to mention, I paid cash for the pizza and the guy who processed the payment needed help counting the change. At this point, Papa John's, Toppers, Pizza Hut and Dominos are all in the same sinking boat. And because so many customers are having the same experiences regardless of where they go, I predict that more people will opt to just bake store- bought pizza at home. More "bang for their buck" and less hassle.
