This place has a reputation for being the new clandestine place in an otherwise lovably scuzzy WC. clearly were trying to shed the too cool for school rumors cuz they were very friendly when we arrived. We did get a spot on the patio as walks ins but the bar and the patio only serve a very limited appetizer menu that is mostly expensive small plates. The cocktails were absolutely phenomenal, very cool hidden back patio. We are excited to make reservations and try the actual restaurant menu.

Tasty food. Tiny portions. Boring atmosphere. Lacks identity. Save your money. I was super excited to try out Tomo due all the awards and accolades that the chef had received. The meal overall was pretty tasty and cooked properly, but the dishes lacked cohesion, the portion size was way too small for the cost and we left hungry. Individually I thought the dishes were good, well-made, and flavorful but they were all pretty small and disconnected from one another. It was like the restaurant didn’t really know what it wanted to be. Flavors of Asia, Italy, and the US that didn’t play well with each other. It was a weird “fusion” (I hate using that word) to say the least. Definitely don’t recommend for vegetarian‘s, as the vegetarian options lacked grains or anything that would make up for the lack of protein and in some cases certain non-vegetarian or vegan items were just left off entirely without any substitution. Unfortunately, I hung out with another industry friend the week after who

They have limited availability but it was worth it! The cocktails are some of the best ones we have ever had. Not too sweet and very flavorful! The food portions are a little small. The entrance is very interesting - you would never guess what’s inside. Recommended experience!
