I've been to a lot of fantastic restaurants in many different cities over my lifetime, but The Woods still stands out as one of the all time best. I have been coming here on most of my trips to Greater Cleveland for the last ten years and it has never disappointed. The food is world class. Even the bread and butter, something I shy away from at most places, is too good to pass up. We had clam chowder tonight - California style (a mixture of New England and Manhattan). It was delicious!! The wings are baked and then fried, creating a really original and unique taste that you'll love. The lobster ravioli blew my mind. Every single dish was perfect. And the staff are so friendly! They appreciate their customers and it shows. It's just such a nice welcoming feeling when you are there; you feel like you're with family. I went there on a date with high hopes, as a friend of mine had recommended this place. We parked and went to the door, and it was a bit confusing trying to find the host stand. We were weren't really acknowledged by any staff except by dodging them going by because the walkway was very narrow. Finally someone acknowledged us, took our name and said it would be about 20 minutes. Cool. So we are waiting and overhear that we can sit out on the patio, so we let the host know that we would sit outside. We waited. And waited...at this point we were there about 45 minutes. Nobody acknowledged us though there were staff helping other guests. We waited over an hour before we got up and left. It was super disappointing.
