I visited this establishment for the 1st time after Googling Soul Food Restaurants near me. After looking & reading their website I decided to check them out, because I like exploring new food establishments. I visited Wild Rose on 5/2/23, I had to wait for them to open eventhough they had signs posted up saying they were open. I proceeded to knock on the door, because it was locked, a lady came to the door & unlocked it & explained to me that she wouldn't be open until 1pm & that she was in the process of preparing everything. I understood & told her that I had no problem waiting. I went back up at 1:15pm after sitting in the parking lot for an hour & the lady unlocked the door & let me in & said that she had everything ready except the Mac & Cheese & that it had a few more minutes. I told her "no problem, I was willing to wait". She asked me what I would like & I proceeded to place 2 orders for Dinners. The 1st order was Fried Catfish Filets, & 2 sides which were Green Beans & Dressi
The food was overpriced . But I was willing to pay if it was worth it … it wasn’t . I got a plate of found that gave off “cooked 2 days ago , reheated in microwave and served “ None of my food was fresh . Sweet potatoes tasted like perfume and dressing was crumbly sage . Let’s just say if I never eat this food again ..: I won’t complain
I visited the Wild Rose with a group of lady friends. The food was great. It truly tasted home cooked. I have since gone back and the food was good. It is definitely a place to grab some good home cooked soul food. It's a hidden jewel. Kid-friendliness: Freindly environment
