The Ribshack Que

Oh my goodness....this is so good. Service was fast. Food was delicious. Good portions. Ordered baby back ribs and they were so good. There were about 6 bones of ribs. They were very meaty, very tender, seasoned really good and just falling of the bone Definately a comeback to place. 06-10-2022 on my way to Oceanside, stopped in to get lunch for Auntie and I. Once again i ordered baby back ribs with potatoe salad and cowboy beans. Ribs still were very meaty, very tender and falling off the bones. Took same to Auntie and we could not eat it all. Service was fast....young lady at register was very nice, attentive and polite. Will be back on next trip this way.

I hate to give 3 stars, but..... First, let me say that the beef ribs are amazing, and possibly the best in southern CA. 5 stars for the beef ribs. They are tender, moist, perfectly cooked and with a great flavored rub. However, they are over-priced. My 4 beef ribs cost over $200, which is over $50 each! So here's some more math..... I was curious so cut off all of the meat and connecting tissue and weighed it all - everything but the bones. My 4 ribs = 9.3 oz., 9.6 oz., 13.3 oz., and 14.3 oz. For a total of 46.5 oz. = 2.9 lb of meat and tissue. That's over $70/lb of meat !!! For comparison, my #2 best beef rib place is in northern CA and they sell theirs for $29/rib, with their ribs over 1.5 lb each (including the bone.). As compared to The Ribshack whose ribs are around the same weight but charges $28/lb - that's a 50% premium on price. Also, The Ribshack forces you to pay for the sides (because they charge by the rib weight, and they're included in that price) even if yo

I am disappointed to have to leave this place such a low rating, and it has nothing to do with the food, which is delicious. But they have raised their prices between 30-50% from what they used to be. We ordered a full rack of ribs and 1 lb of tri-tip, no sides at all, and the bill was a whopping $66!! Their online info says that the ribs are $24.99 and the tri-tip $16.99 a lb. So their price increase is utterly ridiculous. Believe me, our order was not worth $66! I can understand a fair increase,but not 50%! We will not be back.
