The Purple Onion Lakeview

Wasn’t familiar, looked nice, dined in. Absolutely phenomenal steak plate, whipped up by some very talented and generous chefs. Was under $20, just an amazing find. Soft Sinatra music playing in the background, just a great find in Birmingham. Super glad I stopped in, highly recommend.

I went to the purple onion for the first time about two weeks back at night and it was great! There were a lot of people there, which is why everything was fresh. I got a zesty chicken pita roll and some fries.. it came up to about $13. I really enjoyed it. I love their zesty chicken pita roll and when the fries are fresh they taste good. I went last night through the drive thru. It was not fast at all and we were the only people on drive through. We had to wait about 25 mins for the food. When I got the food, the fries were not hot but instead like warm and tasted refried. The zesty chicken pita roll up was still good though so I say give this place a try but maybe go on a weekend when they are busy so you know the food will be fresh.

Best PO experience I've had in a while. The grilled chicken salad was really good. Also, great breaded wings, though the fries were a bit limp. Overall, though, everything was great.
