Slice Pizza & Brew

I had the gluten free crust of the pepperoni. The flavor of the food was good, the crust was a little chewy. They do have the option of a cauliflower crust, but I did not get it. May have to try next time. The space is tight inside so the evening time may get crowded. I around 1pm on a Friday and it was not many people there. And my server was very nice and helpful when I had questions.

We are from Huntsville and this is our favorite casual eatery when we are in Birmingham. We ate here yesterday after a medical appointment at UAB as a “day date.” We really took our time and enjoyed several of their menu items. The Wedge Salad (with bacon on the side, as I’m vegetarian and my partner is not), a half very veggie and half brisket large pizza, delicious, the crust had a perfect medium thin thickness, and overall great flavor. We enjoyed dessert, a homemade Cinnamon Pecan Cheesecake with chocolate drizzle that was delicious. I had a glass of the house Pino Grigio which was the only thing that could have been better, it was a little dry for my liking. We took 2 large lunch slices home as take out to our boys which they enjoyed in the evening. Our server was Amanda, she was nice and attentive, with a cool, chill vibe. It was only her second or third day on the job but she handled things well… even a slight issue with our check not ringing up in the computer and/or printing.

My husband and I went to the Vestivia Hills location a couple of weeks ago. The food was so great that we took our visiting kids to this location. The pizza is delicious. The White Shadow is my favorite but the LakeView is not far behind. (Order extra horseradish cream) The salads and dressings are yummy. The wings are spicy and here a hit. I am not a fan of the feta dip- but that’s okay because everything else is fantastic. Good choice of beer and cocktails.
