The Post Chicken & Beer

I liked everything but the chicken. I expect my socks to be blown off if I’m paying that much for fried chicken but it was so disappointing and not worth a third of the price. Tried their Hot Bird Summer chicken wing flight and the best of 4 flavors was maybe 5/10. Everything else was great; deviled eggs, Mahi burger, fried cauliflower appetizer, and their Amber beer were all 5 stars. But man, for a self described chicken place that charges $18 for 3 chicken tenders, it should be so much better.

Exceptional food and very friendly service. I highly recommend the oysters on the appetizers menu if you're dining in as they were fantastic; my picture doesn't do it justice. Also the chicken sandwich was great and I never thought I would say this but the Dijon mayonnaise sauce on the sandwich is very good. I like how they give the option with all of their chicken dishes to either get the chicken plain or have it tossed in sauce/seasonings. Also their macaroni is the best ive had from the local chicken places. The beers they had on tap were also great. I look forward to come back and try one of their pieces of pie for dessert. This place is definitely worth a try.

Throw a dart at the menu: Pick that - you'll LOVE IT ! They're famous for chicken, even the tenderloins are masterpieces, but pay attention to the off menu board. Fabulous. Really. And the people working there are simply the best - the most happy to be there employees ever. Must be something in the water ????
