First time I had a delicious hamburger and my spouse had chicken tenders and soup. This time I had a very good breaded tenderloin. It was the Thursday special, thick and juicy. Brought half home. Spouse had chicken tenders again with cottage cheese. Nice big tenders, brought half of them home as well. Very good food and price was good.
First off let me start with saying I grew up with The OP in the Waterloo/CF and love it so I'm not sure what happened her Ankeny location. So the last 3 times we have been in we have waited at least an hour for our food. Tonight after about 45 minutes tonight the girls behind us started to complain about the wait and had their food taken care of and the waitress came over and said they would take my pizza off our bill as well. About 25 minutes later the girls behind us food came out and everything was wrong and one of their sandwhiches was rock solid. I got my pizza about 10 minutes later and took a bite and felt something weird in my throat when I swallowed it and looked down at my piece of pizza and noticed a large piece of hard plastic in it as seen in the attached pics. The worst part was the manager didn't even come over afterwards and made the waitress deal with it like it was her fault. I would avoid this location at all costs.
Meet my sister for happy hour and dinner. We ordered during happy hour but were charged full price. I mentioned this to the server, he said I would receive a credit for the difference in a few days. Never received the credit. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I’m sure this happens A LOT of times when your ticket/order is rung up after happy hour. WATCH YOUR BILLED AMOUNT!! I really like this place but constantly overcharging advertised prices isn’t right! Follow up June 21: So I posted this review and received a request from OP to contact them which I did the next day. I have yet to receive a response back. ????
