Excellent little bar that serves brunch and lunch items all day. The bartender was skilled and polite. The drink menu was intriguing, with unique selections that seemed adventurous at first glance. But that sweet potato flip was as delicious as it was eye-catching. Very much both. There is a patio outside that overlooks the KC skyline to its east. It's small but tiered and we'll built. The interior decoration is attended to with care. I could tell they had tried to make a space where artists could share with art lovers with drinks and small bites and a sense that, in this space, things are good. Sunday nights, they feature songwriters of a high caliber from Kansas City's very strong music scene. It's a mistake not to make this a part of your life.
Literally the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. The staff were surly, sour and incompetent. We had to ask for everything including silverware which was met with hostility. There were more employees than customers; the lack of service was baffling. We waited an hour for eggs; the food finally came and was cold, soggy, eggs were apart (runny whites on one part of the cold bread and a hard yolk on the other) and the wrong order. We had to ask twice if they could take it back and were met with a dirty look; no communication at all. Waited another 15 minutes and asked for the check for the drinks. Not a word, just shoved it at me. It felt more like an attack than breakfast. Just bizarre.
Great local spot with a spectacular view of downtown. Some questionable comedy on Sunday night which is fun. People are nice. Drinks are hit or miss, but priced right . I did enjoy the beige Russian. Service : 5/5 | Atmosphere : 4/5 … More
