The MINT Gastropub

My husband and I were so excited to go back to The Mint after it was closed for so long since new owners purchased it. We used to go there often and loved the food and vibe. Since reopening, it looked nice inside, but sadly the food was really bad. I got the falafel wrap and it was flavorless and super dry with almost no tzatziki sauce. My husband's Asian chicken wrap had flavor, but definitely not anything that would make you think "This is an Asian chicken wrap." I also think they made the wrong drink for me? But the worst was the creme brulee. The custard was cooked all the way through (I assume because they're using too shallow of a dish) and had a curdled, scrambled egg texture and was basically inedible. Also, the strawberries on top were not even ripe. It was just a really disappointing experience, especially since we've been missing The Mint and were excited to go back. Womp.

I tried the Mint at the recommendation of several people. The food is unique and wonderful, as blend of Asian fusion and American comfort food. The drinks are very original and leave nothing to be desired. The atmosphere is friendly and a little whimsical and the service is excellent.

The food and atmosphere was great. The beer list was very impressive.
