Had the pleasure of taking my wife to The Little Village last night for her birthday celebration. Thanks so much to the management and staff for a wonderful evening. The service and food were absolutely outstanding !!!
I ordered an appetizer, the fried green tomatoes with hollandaise sauce and lump crab. It looked pretty! The fried green tomatoes were not seasoned at all. I seasoned them with salt and pepper but it didn’t help the flavor. I don’t know if they fried them in old grease but the flavor was not good. The hollandaise sauce wasn’t that good either. The crab topping was cold. The waiter was very nice!
Worse Italian food ever…delicious village bread was doughy and undercooked. Stuffed artichoke was so small and undercooked…unable to pull leaves out…I had to send it back. Veal Marsala was not edible…veal overcooked and gravy dark and tasted burnt. They need a new chef that understand Italian cooking…we will never go back…I cook better Italian in my own kitchen.
