The Grapevine Restaurant & Karaoke Bar

Usually one of my favorite places in old town until last night I went in with a friend and the host told us they usually would not allow us in with our outfits because of the owners. “Dress code” is very degrading to women and i’m not surprised to see in these reviews this wasn’t the first time this has happened to women here. Save your time and money and go anywhere else.

The food was horrendous!! A piece of cracker ‘bread’ with slices of unmelted square cheese, and canned pineapple and mandarin oranges that had already turned fermented. Cubed deli ham topped off this ‘meal’. The Dolphin game was on the TV and since they won, I’m giving the restaurant 2 stars.

We went here for lunch randomly and loved it. We sat upstairs on the patio which has plenty of shade and overlooks Old Town Scottsdale. It had kind of a San Diego vibe with an American, Mediterranean menu. The service was super friendly and helpful and we never felt rushed. The suggestions were helpful from the server. I ordered the fried catfish sandwich and my wife ordered the flatbread. Both were amazing. The catfish was huge and crispy. It was served with a remoulade which was perfect. I recommend this, especially during Spring Training season or when the weather is nice. It's also a karaoke place but I imagine that later in the evening.
