The Food House

Yall this food was amazing. The wait was a little long but they have like a separate event space they let us sit in and played music just for my boyfriend and I. I got the jerk chicken mac and chz and when I tell you you won't have to do anything but eat. I will probably be back

I'd seen this place on my Uber Eats for a while but never thought to give them a chance b/c I've been dissappointed with "new" spots in the past. Today however, I was in the mood for a good rasta pasta and searched in Uber Eats and they came up. Went to Yelp and couldn't find them which made me nervous but then went to Google and saw the few amazing reviews so I said okay let's give it a try. My GOD I am so glad I did! The rasta pasta you can add chicken, salmon, oxtails, or a combo of all three and it was soooooooo GOOD! I am so mad I didn't check them out sooner and they are right on my street. I am def going to make them my new go to and check out the rest of the menu. Give them a try! Update: I've now tried several other items on the menu since my initial review and I am addicted to Food House. The crab cake, salmon, and other items are all amazing. I wish they had more of a social media presence and following so more people are aware...but it'll be my little hidden gem for now.

We found the Food House in a Google search of restaurants around us. It listed mainly Jamaican food, so we thought we'd check it out. Driving up to the place, it wasn't clear if it was open or closed... it was open, but this place was literally just a kitchen. In addition to Jamaican food, they also had Nigerian food, which I ate. The food took a while to come, but once it's there you understand why... everything in my order was made 100% fresh. We were directed to an event hall two doors down where we sat and ate our meals, which we later discovered were cooked by a collective of various black cooks each running their own business at the Food House. Great meal, great staff at the place, I would recommend you order ahead.
