The Filling Station Bham

Im from Philly. So Strombolis are a part of the food culture there. What I got, in my opinion, isn't a real stromboli that warrants paying $16.50. a true stromboli is a pizza, with the stuffing put in and folded in half. There was little inside of mine barely, a handful of toppings, 3 or 4 slices of pepperoni. Given the size, I guess that's all that can fit. It tasted ok, only are 1/3, needed seasonings. The marinara definitely needed some salt. It was cheesy I will give you that, but a real stromboli, the emphasis isn't the cheese. I was very disappointed. My husband says maybe we'll just get pizza when we go again. I will order chicken tenders. Features: No one had on a mask, the patrons nor the staff.

This was an underwhelming experience. We came in, chipper and all smiles, and were greeted by two young, scowling girls working as hostesses. We asked for a seat that "isn't right in the middle of everything" and one girl proceeds to try and seat us literally right in the middle of all the tables, completely ignoring anything we'd just said. We asked to move and then we had the only real treat of the night which was our waitress (slender, average-height brunette young lady). I hate that I didn't get her name, because she was such a joy to speak to. She was friendly, bubbly, and you could tell she took pride in her job. Unfortunately, then we had our food. I got the tomato/bacon grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and my friend got a pizza (forgot which kind). I actually told him I was concerned about maybe having contracted COVID because almost 48 hrs earlier I was in my office and a lady came in coughing up a lung.
