The Fancy Biscuit

So I LOVE breakfast gravy. No really - I LOVE IT. It speaks to my heart through many memories and it excites my tastebuds. This was my first visit to Fancy Biscuit. I was conflicted about which gravy to enjoy. No need to pick, they have a Gravy Flight. No way, a flight of gravy! What’s a girl to do? Grab the flaky buttery biscuits and sop (yes, I said sop) up all the goodness! My husband had the chicken biscuit which I sampled. It was excellent, but I had a lot to do on my side of the table. The coffee was piping hot. I immediately recognized it was Blanchards. Uh hello, they are incredible too. Oh and fancy, what does that mean? Is it the biscuits? The eggs? The quirky vibe? I don’t know but I’m here for it. Also, the staff was very lovely, definitely a few notches above friendly.

Super cute decor with a lovely vibe both inside and out. Food was delicious, but limited options for vegetarians (almost everything has chicken and/or bacon). Coffee was strong and delicious, biscuits were stupid good, and our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoyed brunch on a Saturday, and waited a about 20 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. Definitely would go again, and absolutely recommend if you're in the area.

Would have been 5 stars if the fried chicken in my sandwich wasn’t sandbagged(cooked way ahead of time due to incompetent kitchen staff). Food came out way to quickly and chicken was room temperature. Biscuit was good, service was good. Potato salad was excellent. Big miss on the chicken.
