The Court House Exchange

This restaurant has become quite a “staple” for independence. Talk about the meat the gravy and some good ole pie to fill your belly…. Good ole food all the way around. You like the basic foods of the Midwest, then dive in. It’s like goin to your aunt or uncles for lunch! Not too bad out

We went a few years ago and it was really good. Went today and things have really seemed to change. They removed many of their favorites. I ordered their special of the day, fish and chips and there was a pool of grease at the bottom of my plate, when I picked up one piece of fish grease poured out! Our waitress was standing at our table watching this happen. I used THREE large napkins to soak up all the grease from just 1 of the pieces of fish! Very disappointing for $16

We were looking for a place that had out door seating and came across Court House Exchange. We were traveling across country from Florida with our little dog and needed a place where she would be welcomed. Even though they were not serving in the out door area they accommodated us! Super awesome staff (yes, talking about you Jodi)! The food was great, my Buffalo Chicken Salad was very good and my friend said his Court House Exchange burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Want a super friendly place with good food, this is the spot.
