My wife and I stayed at the hotel so we naturally came here for breakfast but I wish we didn't. How bad of a chef/cook do you need to be if you can't even get the toast right. I can't understand how someone working in the kitchen would think this is remotely acceptable and serve that to a customer. The kicker in all of this is returning the dish and the waitress apologizing and saying "Sorry they do this all the time" lol How hard is it to make toast?
My wife and I love visiting the canal club. The ambience here is soothing and makes you feel like you're on a teopical excursion. There are plenty of "Instagramable" spots for those looking for a good photo. Additionally, their service and food is high quality and professional. Whether you are looking for a relaxing spot to spend your day, grabbing drinks with a friend, or setting up a meeting I could highly recommend the Canal Club. Features: They sanitize the tables and keep the lobby clean for guests.
When we stay at the Scott we don't leave premises for the whole weekend so we eat and drink each meal at Canal Club. We enjoy the unique menu and being able to eat in the restaurant, the lobby, the room or at the pool. My favorite is the chorizo oaxacan pizza! Great flavors. We also enjoy the tostones, wings, filet, salads, pork tacos (they don't skimp on filling them), and salmon (would rather veggies than hash though). The avocado toast is delicious as well. Cocktails are good and coffee in the morning is nice. Only complaint is service in the restaurant is slow and reservation is best even if they don't seem busy. The lobby bar area is a great hangout or meetup spot. Overall we love coming here each year
