Chipotle Mexican Grill

This location did not consider sofritas, which is seasoned tofu, as a protein option so my sons and I were charged for additional sides to have tofu, protein, added to our quesadillas. Had we elected meat it would not have been an extra charge. Other Chipotle locations include sofritas as protein. Communication wasn't great between the staff or communicating to customers. All the tables were covered in food, utensils were out, drink area was a mess. Time of visit was 5:30 pm on Monday (Labor Day) Vegetarian options: Sofritas, seasoned tofu, was not considered Protein for the quesadilla and so was an extra charge. This has not been the case with other Chipotle locations.

I have been to this chipotle once every half year or so thinking maybe the staff last time was new, etc. well, I’m not sure what it is but this location just hasn’t done it well. The mall across the street and the chipotle down in south Scottsdale, both are are fine. I’m not sure what it is about this particular location. I suspect due to location, they are just not very busy and the food often is cold/not fresh as a result.

I come to this location 3 times a week. I’m a regular. There are plenty of issues with this location that I ignore (worst ran location out of the 3 I frequent), today I found an issue I could not ignore, and the manager did nothing about it. I took a scoop out of my chicken and found a curly hair inside of it :) my luck. Showed it to the manager, no apology, nothing. Said I can make you another one (that’s the same batch of chicken that had a hair in it), I said it’s okay I lost my appetite. Did not care at all, didn’t offer a refund. I’m just upset that they ruined that location for me.
