Memphis is known for Great BBQ and The Bar-B-Q Shop didn't disappoint. They have something for everyone in the menu. There were five of us who dined together. Each of us ordered something good. Again none of us were disappointed and all of us left stuffed. A must do if you are visiting downtown Memphis TN.
This place is amazing! We passed through on a road trip and were blown away. The ribs and bologna sandwich were fantastic and everything you could want from BBQ, and they don’t phone in the sides. Beans, coleslaw and potato salad were all heavenly, competing with the meat for top spot. Even my kid’s chicken tenders tasted great. The atmosphere is also wonderful and cozy, with friendly staff and an old-fashioned feeling. Would go again!
Very healthy portions and quick service. The pork was very good, the coleslaw was typical, and so were the baked beans. The ribs were good but didn't fall off the bone the way you hope they would. The barbecue spaghetti was disappointing for the price. 7.99 for a side salad plate that is essentially just spaghetti smothered in barbecue sauce.
