The Adams Street Cafe

i had the tofu ramen. i never come with too high hopes for vegan menu items, but the fact that they were advertising their ramen in the window made me curious. it's a discrete little place, and when you come in, you get the feeling that you've found a hidden local gem. it has that cozy tavern feel to it. the service was prompt, the place was clean, and the food was good. my only nitpick would be that the broth to ingredient ratio of the ramen was a bit too broth heavy, and maybe it could have featured some kind of side condiment like vinegar, or hot oil, but overall they seem to really know what they're doing.

Excellent food! We had the chicken and waffles and pork tacos. We also tried the Bloody Mary - it was fabulous! Service was also great, we went for an early lunch.

I really love this place I really do. Their food is great and the staff is friendly. But just because you make soup ???? and add a hard boiled egg it doesn't make it ramen ????. Do you patrons a favor and listen to Kitchen Confidential if it's time to throw in the towel just do it. I hope for all of our sake this is not the case but that's how it's starting to look from the outside.
