Dined at the Pit for a great lunch experience! I had the 2 plate combo (brisket and jalapeño sausage) with fries. It had been nearly 5 years since the last time I ate here and the food was as good as before. Well done!
The pork is really good and the green beans are probably the best I've had!
My brisket was VERY dry, I did come here on a Wednesday night so that may be the reason? The okra was good and the green beans were ok but mushy. The establishment also smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and I found it rather displeasing and disgusting. It’s hard to taste your food when smoke is so prevalent in the air. Over all, I wouldn’t come back.
