Tequila Jack's Restaurant and Cantina

The restaurant has a waterfront location with stunning views of the Long Beach Harbor. The food menu features a variety of Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. I tried the chicken fajitas, which were good but not great. The chicken was overcooked, and the tortillas were a bit dry. The guacamole was delicious, and the margaritas were the best I've ever had. The service at Tequila Jack's is excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she was always happy to make recommendations. Overall, I had a great time at Tequila Jack's. The atmosphere was lively, the service was excellent, and the drinks were amazing. The food was good, but not the best Mexican food I've had. However, after a few drinks, you won't care what you're eating. Parking: Parking can be hard at times depending on the time and day you visit.

Got the chili relleno, chili Verde, Carne asada. All the food was ok. Nothing bad. Just thought it would have been better. Or our taste buds were off. Service could have been better. My tip reflected that. Gave the waitress the minimum. She wasn't very tentative.

Ambiance: I've never really seen this place with a light crowd. I usually come after work, and the wait is at least an hour each time. Inside is spacious and seamlessly goes from inside to outdoors, which I love because it's close to the water. Service: Getting on the waitlist is fairly easy, I appreciate the text option for check-in and letting us know when the table is ready so we were able to wait in the car or walk around. Once inside our server was pretty attentive, the kitchen was backed up, but they did their best. Food: They have a great happy hour / taco Tuesday. Never any complaints about the food or drinks. Love the Margaritas, and the carne asada tacos are my fav. They go a little heavy on the onions, so I get it on the side. Chimichangas were a standout as well. Parking is ok, and they validate, so don't forget! Parking: Make sure to get validation!
