Ted's Montana Grill

I enjoyed the food but felt like many of the options here were held back by poor execution. The restaurant lays out pickled cucumbers (I assume) that taste like oversalted cucumbers. I'm a saltaholic, yet found them inedible. My mango arnold palmer was extremely delicious, and my partner had a lemon drop cocktail that was solid. I had the bison brisket and was a bit surprised when my plate was more of a bison pot roast. It tasted good, but based on the menu, I was expecting something akin to BBQ brisket. The carrots were also a little bitey, stradding a fine line of being undercooked. My partner had cedar plank salmon, which was good, but the salmon had no sauce with it, leaving it a little dry. Dessert was the seasonal option, being a strawberry shortcake with ice cream. The ice cream and strawberries were delicious, but the "cake" part was more like a salted cookie. I would come back again but would also exercise caution with the menu and ask about everything.

My food was okay, and the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Red Rock bison burger medium rare, but it came out overcooked. I wish the menu would have stated the sauce on it is like a sweet jam. The Parmesan Roasted Broccoli didn’t have much flavor. We were halfway done with our burgers before our server Allan checked on us. The best thing we ordered was the Grilled Shrimp appetizer. Would be willing to go back for the drinks and to try a different burger, hopefully cooked to temp.

Great bison burgers/steaks and nice atmosphere. We come here to eat pretty often and always love it. The huckleberry margarita is my new favorite :) also love the housemade chips with dip!
