Taste of Belgium - Mason

Stopped by with a new-to-Amelia resident who wanted to give it a try and having had a good experience at the North Market (Columbus/now closed) location we were enthusiastic to treat them to dessert. This location wasn’t very busy and was clean. We were quickly seated and our drink orders filled. We informed the wait-staff we were just wanting dessert, but the menu made it feel like a guessing game. We tried to order the key lime tart. Nope. On the menu, but not available. The same situation with the Belgian Pop Tart. The waitress informed us that they receive menu items on a rotating basis so not everything that’s on the menu is actually on the menu. The buckeyes are about the size of a 50 cent piece and you get one; with that information in mind we opted for the crepes. I can’t speak for the other guests other than to repeat a shared experience of them being described as “doughy”. Delicious food! The Freitz were perfect and the Belgium meatballs were so good! Belgium waffles and Apple Carmel crepes, yum!

My family went to Taste of Belgium to celebrate a birthday and the food was delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant has a wide ranging menu so everyone will be able to find something to eat and the waffles are thick and delicious. Can’t wait to be back!
