Tacos Del Gordo

Absolutely 1000% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Staff is rude. Dining area is subpar but they rush you. Never in my life have I seen a wet/soggy flour tortilla for a taco shell. I COULD THROW IT AND IT WOULD STICK TO THE WALL!!! Ew!!! Everything was covered in oil. In the picture below is their “shredded chicken” it literally looks like they went to Walmart, bought a rotisserie chicken, washed it off and half-shredded the meat. I ordered 6 tacos, at 2 and now I’m ready to THROW UP! I picked up one of their tacos and squeezed it and it literally dripped PUDDLES of oil! They covered their tacos with a bunch of shredded lettuce to make it look good. And when asking for guacamole and salsa Roja, they forgot the guacamole and gave us Buffalo hot sauce in a styrofoam cup. Never going here again. Usually I go to Juanita’s on south academy! Went here once before never wanted to go back only went because we were on our way home in bad snow.

We've only gotten food from the drive thru and for the first time we came inside and its your typical Mexican atmosphere with beautiful colorful tables and walls. The food is delicious, authentic. I just wish they served their tacos with the mini Tortillas vs the huge ones they serve but that's ok. The tacos fe birria with consome is a must try! They stuff your tacos with meat, the red rice is homemade as well as the beans. The staff is really friendly and I will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant is by far the best Mexican restaurant We have tried on this side of town. The supreme nachos are delicious. The chips are fresh. My daughter got Birria tacos & the meat was so tender & good. Our family highly recommends this restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful.
