I'm from Laredo Texas where taco palenque was founded but let me tell you we had such an amazing experience. Everyone was super friendly, food was amazing (like always), and extremely clean environment. Will be stopping by on our way home to take some food with us???? Very happy that Taco Palenque has opened a location in the Austin area. I’ve dine there quite a few times while visiting San Antonio andLaredo. I absolutely love this restaurant. I finally got around to getting over to Round Rock and ordering breakfast. Ordered a bacon and egg breakfast taco, an excellent bean cheese taco, and the Chilaquiles plate with potatoes and refried beans. Everything was delicious and the same as what I had tried before in San Antonio. I will definitely be going back repeatedly!
Definitely a fast food place but the food is really good. They have a salsa bar with a good selection. Plenty of vegetables for your food, radishes, cabbage, roasted jalapenos, lines, onions, and cilantro. Chips are also served there. They have a breakfast menu but it's uninspired. They do offer chorizo to spice things up. I saw an employee with a bowl of caldo de res but did not see it on any menu. With the offerings of the salsa bar, the soup would be a winner. They will serve lunch items for breakfast so all to see the menu. I had al pastor tacos on corn. Thicker corn tortillas were served, good. The al pastor was very good. Spicing was nice and you could taste hints of pineapple. There's a kids menu. The most interesting things there is a bean, cheese, and fideo. One taco bowl offered. Desserts include cheesecake, cake, flan, tres leches, and arroz con leche. The iced tea was good. Features: None in place
