Taco Ole - Edinburg

Service was soooo slow...for me. 4 people. Breakfast was served for 3 of us. Mine took forever. Everyone was on their last taco(out of 3) by the time I got my ham and egg tacos. No apology or anything. Tacos were great. Beans...not so much. Overcooked. Disappointed

Food was good, but service was by far the worse we’ve had in the RGV. Place was not packed. 15% gratuity was added to our party of 6. There was no note of said gratuity for a party of 6 or more. We had to walk up to a server to request more drinks after they said they would bring them (10 minutes prior). We also had to walk up to the counter to get our bill. We were told total and we requested a receipt. This is the only reason we knew there was already a tip in there. Had we not requested a receipt, we would have double tipped. We typically leave a bigger tip for good service. Because our waitress was already getting her automatic 15% tip, she seemed to pay little attention to our group and provided little, if any, service.

Honestly, if you read half the reviews of this place, you might be scared to go, but, my wife and I went and we'd go again. The place does feel a little old. The building feels old and it shows when you look at the ceiling and it's air vents. I wouldn't call the seating the most comfortable at all but I've seen worse. The food is pretty basic...Tex-Mex. They gave us chips and a sopa to start off. The chips were nice and hot...not too oily. The salsa was also warm and tasted fresh, not too spicy but not watered down. The sopa had a nice flavor to it and was definitely eaten. My wife ordered herself a caldo Tlalpeño and I had fajita tacos with enchiladas. The food I would say is average. My wife's caldo had plenty of cheese, avocado, and chicken...but was lacking in the presentation. My wife enjoyed her caldo but it was nothing extraordinary. I would say the same for my tacos. Honestly, the meat didn't feel like actual fajita. The meat was cooked well but there was no BANG when biting in
