Sweetwater Cafe

Waited about an hour for our food. Was ok. Ordered the Fried Green Tomato sandwich on grilled sourdough. Came on wheat. Did not say anything as it took so long to get it in the first place. First half was good. Second half only had some smashed bits of tomato on it. Not a place for a quick lunch.

We got the corn beef hash omelet and an order of the pecan encrusted French toast with a side of their fried okra. Everything was fantastic and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was really nice and did a great job. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

We are deeply saddened about the James Osland location closing. Totally preferred that location over downtown. ): All in all, we like the food and low key atmosphere here. I don’t recommend getting the hamburgers but everything else we’ve tried has been great! We recommend breakfast over lunch. The sauce with the fried green tomatoes is really good. The gravy with the biscuits is amazing! I think the drinks are a bit overpriced though. We have been many times and the food taste is pretty consistent and reliable.
