I had been here before but several years ago. I decided to try it again. The airport terminal had a limited selection of places to eat even at 7:00 PM. I was annoyed by the online ordering system that would not accept my credit card. But it did help me select what I wanted to eat. The selections were limited but I enjoyed a quite good $16 Cobb salad and a local Atlanta Sweetwater 420 beer. Service was pretty friendly and good but a little slow. Love the music from the era when MTV played music.
This was the most sentimental restaurant experience I ever had!!!. So I have watched(and currently own a digital copy, so I do watch abroad the U.S. also) the movie Color Purple at least 3,500 times since it came out in the 80's, and this establishment does the Harpo's juke joint vibes plenty of Justice! I had a 4 hour early bird layover in ATL (2015), and the gate I was to board sat directly across from this lawd haf merci location! I didn't know it existed until I arrived with my snacks to endure my layover. My God! Upon walk-in I was greeted with the southern hospitality that I've only experienced in my visits through the ATL over 20+ years.... So breathtakingly warm, smooth, and genteel! And Ray Charles "Georgia" was blaring over the sound system, comforting any trauma I'd experienced in my previous 5 years of living in Savannah, GA. Also remember Tevin Campbell (my 90's crush-boo) Can we talk playing... Lordt! I was immediately seated, and served the grape flavored Kool aid (adult
Great energy! Flying from DC with a layover in Atlanta, I was walking through terminal C and literally had to backtrack because the music was so good. I sat at the bar and enjoyed laughs with other travelers and jammed to 90s r&b hits. I didn't eat so I can't speak to the food. I had a basic cocktail which cost about $9.
