Swadley’s Bar-B-Q

This is the first time I've been to this Swadley’s. We ate inside and I was impressed by how new everything looked. They have a tunnel that leads into the restaurant that reminds me of going into a mine shaft. It's actually pretty cool. I think the lighting was brighter than the other Swadley’s I've been to. So, how is the BBQ? I enjoyed the brisket I ate, but it was a small portion. I had turkey too and it was the best I've ever had. They smoke their baked potatoes and those are excellent as well. We stayed way too long, like usual, but it's a comfortable place to hang out. Our waiter was great! She made the day of one of our grumpy gang by listening to him and fulfilling his silly request. Great experience all around.

Not a reflection on service or cleanliness. I have it two stars simply because of the food . I love great barbecue and I decided to walk a few blocks to try this place and ordered the Oklahoma sampler. I started off with a bite of ribs no sauce just to see how they were barbecuing. Ribs were tougher than they needed to be ..kind of bland. Pulled pork bland..but cooked long enough. Brisket dry and bland. Mashed potatoes were good, standard Mac n chz, roll was good. Sweet tea was excellent. I chose not to bring it up to a manager but tipped my waiter and left. I just want you to know just because it's called the Oklahoma sampler doesn't mean that's our standard.

OMG!!! Absolutely the BEST meal I’ve had in ages! The empty plate should speak for itself, but just in case… My steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes were soooooooo yummy & the salad bar - my goodness - super fresh & so good! And the service… chick-fil-a ain’t got nuttin’ on this place!!!! ❤️
